Carols Kidz Care is a childcare service available for children aged birth-12 years old. We are open all year around and can accommodate from 07:00-18:00 Monday to Friday at our Bedlington Station premises. Our fully trained and competent staff are not only dedicated to the delivery of care but work in collaboration with parents, guardians and other professionals in order to meet your child’s developmental needs, preparing them for challenges that lie ahead.

All our meals are cooked on site with plenty of fresh fruit available throughout the day. It is important to us that children are provided warm, cooked meals as part of their childcare, this also means parents have one less thing to worry about at the end of a busy day.

We work alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework to meet the learning and developmental needs of children from birth to 5 years old. We are also fortunate enough to have access to training and facilities to care for children with additional needs. We are a multi-cultural ran nursery and we take great pride in celebrating all festivals from Diwali to EID.

We complete daily diaries for the younger children and  babies so parents are aware of what they have been up to through the day. Files are available with children’s information in for parents to view at any time of their own child.

We encourage a range of activities throughout the day from modelling play dough, gloop (an interesting mixture of corn starch and water), chalking and planting flowers to watching the cycle of the butterflies. We also offer outdoor play in our double fenced yard for various activities with our little house there for role play. 

We offer childcare from a minimum of 4hrs to full days at a childminding rate. We are Ofsted registered ,so if you are able to claim tax  credits we can help. Younger children are offered a 1 hour taster session to see how they like it. Older children just want to come in and play. The hardest part is getting the children to go home; they just want to stay.

We work alongside parents, keeping children’s routines the same as at home. We also enjoy talking with our parents who we see as our friends and are able to offer help and advice when needed. After all they are trusting us with the care of their precious children.

Carol’s Kidz Care started as a childminding business established in 2011 and following the high demand for quality childcare, with flexible hours, we moved to the larger premises we now call home at 20 School Road, Bedlington. Our Nursery was officially opened on 21 April 2021 by MP Ian Lavery and the Local Parish Council. On 1 May 2012 the nursery opened it’s doors for the first time to parents and children, impressing Ofsted who rated us as “Good”.
